What will happen when we connect two transformers in series?



In the below mentioned figure 1 we can see the connections of two transformer when they are connected in series. There are two transformers of rating 220/12 volts.

Primary Winding               =            Connected in Series

Secondary Winding         =             Connected in Series


When primary of two transformers are connected in series then voltage will divide in each winding of both transformers equally. With the same configuration at output the voltage will also divide at secondary if secondary winding is connected in series. We can see in above figure clearly that 6 volts will appear across each secondary winding but current will remain same in both windings. Transformers
